Locally known as Bai Mudan White Tea, White Peony is a delicate, crisp white tea known for its neutral, nut-like character. It’s one of the 10 most famous Chinese teas and very popular for its numerous health benefits. Commonly grown in Zhenghe Counties in China, the name “peony” comes from the way the tea leaves blossom as they are infused in water. The tea has two leaves with a bud in the middle: they are tenders, graceful and elegant. The brewed tea is bright, pure, and takes on apricot-yellow color, with an irresistible flavor.

  • Heat fresh, filtered water to 185° F (85° C)
  • Add 2-3 tsp of Bai Mudan white tea to an infuser, or straight into an 8-oz. mug
  • Pour the heated water into the mug
  • Steep for 3-5 minutes
  • Strain tea leaves, or take out the infuser
  • Sip and enjoy your organic tea!
