Out of stock

The delicious Lemon Ginger tea is a healing blend of ginger, lemon, and tulsi. Also known as Holy Basil or the Elixir of Life, tulsi imparts a light, minty taste and healing properties to this delightful brew.

A Well-Rounded Cup – With a Kick of Adaptogens

We started with three different varieties (Krishna, Rama, and Vana) of the adaptogenic herb tulsi. Then we added the classic, refreshing notes of organic ginger and lemon myrtle. Flavor-wise, it yields a sweet, citrusy brew with a spicy ginger kick.

Tulsi has a bold aroma and a distinctive, sometimes even bitter flavor that’s unlike anything else. By using a blend of three different types, we deliver the best of tulsi’s stimulating, revitalizing adaptogenic properties, all in a delicious, unique cup of tea.

This sacred Indian herb is in the same plant family as your garden variety of basil, but don’t expect a pesto flavor. Instead, it imparts a light, minty quality and a touch of bitterness to offset the ginger and lemon myrtle.

Sourcing our Tulsi

We source all our tulsi from India. The freshly-sheared bundles give a minty, refreshing scent. The bundles are then dried and blended with organic ginger and lemon myrtle to create a blend that’s both familiar and new at the same time.

Tulsi is a unique herb native to Southeast Asia. It’s been used in Indian medicine for centuries. Practitioners use its fresh flowers to treat bronchitis, its leaves and seeds for malaria, and the essential oil to treat insect bites. And, most importantly here, its tea is used for its protective and regenerative qualities.

Health Benefits

Reduces Cholesterol and Aids Weight Loss

Tulsi reduces stressors to the metabolic system, which in turn helps with cholesterol and weight loss. Animal studies have linked tulsi to reduced bad cholesterol and increased good cholesterol.

Reduces Inflammation

Thanks to tulsi’s status as an adaptogen, it’s an anti-inflammatory and delivers a powerful dose of antioxidants. Inflammation can affect a wide range of health concerns, including arthritis, fibromyalgia, anxiety, and chronic stress.

Improves Digestive Health

Tulsi has protective properties for the stomach. It can help reverse the effects of ulcers brought on by stress. It also naturally increases your stomach’s resistance by decreasing stomach acid levels, increasing healthy mucus secretion and mucus cell production, and extending the life of those mucus cells. These are all necessary for healthy and comfortable digestion.
