This popular South American drink, Yerba Mate Tea, is a classic for a reason. We love it as an afternoon pick-me-up when you need something both healthy and rejuvenating.
Savor a South American Classic
Yerba mate is made from a South American herb related to the holly bush. It’s prized for its distinctive taste – smooth yet strong, earthy, and ever-so-slightly bitter. The aroma is herbal and invigorating, often compared to eucalyptus. It’s a distinct flavor well-loved by those who know it.
But yerba mate isn’t just delicious. It’s rich in antioxidants and is known for its energizing properties. Its caffeine content is higher than tea but lower than coffee, so you can enjoy it without the buzz, jitters, or crash of a morning cup of joe.
Naturally Aged for Optimal Flavor
After harvesting the yerba mate, our farmers allow the plant’s leaves and stems to age. This process brings out the yerba mate’s natural mild flavors and delicate aroma of the plant’s components.
Our organic yerba mate contains no added ingredients. That means when you sit down to enjoy a cup, you’ll be able to detect all the complexities and nuances of its pure, unadulterated preparation. We believe that sometimes, the best tasting experience is also the simplest.

Enhanced Performance During Workouts
The caffeine in yerba mate has been found to increase fat-burning during workouts as well as improving performance during high-intensity bursts. It accomplishes this by increasing your body’s reliance on fat for fuel, making it the perfect pre-workout caffeine fix.
Effective Weight Loss Aid
Research suggests that yerba mate can increase the amount of stored fat that’s burned as energy. Some studies indicate yerba mate can help reduce appetite and boost metabolism. This translates into help maintaining a healthy weight or losing excess weight.
Anti-Inflammatory and Antioxidant-Rich
Yerba mate contains saponins, natural anti-inflammatory compounds. It also contains vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, and selenium – all antioxidants that can strengthen your immune system and promote your overall health.
Decreased Risk of Heart Disease
Yerba mate contains several antioxidant compounds that are thought to protect against heart disease. These include caffeoyl derivatives and polyphenols. Some research also suggests regular yerba mate consumption may reduce unhealthy cholesterol over time, providing another layer of protection against chronic heart disease.
Decreased Blood Sugar Levels
Recent animal studies indicate yerba mate may help improve insulin signaling, lower blood sugar, and reduce diabetes complications. Maintaining stable blood sugar levels and avoiding blood sugar spikes is an essential part of overall health, especially for those at risk of diabetes and people watching their weight.
